Immutable, impossible, incalculable, insufferable

many times you told me of your favorite song
but i never heard it
even after i replaced the cd that was stolen

something struck me to look it up today
and even after all this time has passed
i can hear you speaking the lyrics
which you never did -- out loud

i imagine you saying them to me then
the thought blurs my vision
if only you'd have known
it would have made all the difference

  1. tragic-

but at the same time, i think there was a reason that you never heard it, just as there is a reason it was not insisted that you hear it...

would it REALLY have made all the difference? i think in the temporary -yes- but not in the long run...

(i'm talking about my experience with someone of course- )

  2. Would hearing a song make a difference, would hearing it influence a decision? Not for me, if I was determined to leave, in the end.

  3. Cadiz, you seem sad, with regrets. I hope you're okay.

  4. What is the story behind this Cadiz? It is beautifully written - I can feel the longing in your voice.

  5. let's just say that was one last deathbed gasp before hammering the last nail in a coffin for a burial of unrealistic hopes, which should have been put to rest long ago. it feels great to be rid of them and to finally be able to see clearly again after all this time.

  6. The last gasp can be the most painful...but yes, the feeling afterwards is great.
