hot Rod

'so exactly how fast were you going?'

'pretty fast. i had to drive all the way across Indiana, it was flat and straight and boring. i wanted to see how far i could push my little car.'

'how'd it do?'

'125.'

'man. what's your governor?'

'um... blagojevich?'

  3. Yep, Indiana will do that to you... That's where I usually kick it into warp speed.

  4. Same doubt as GG... can someone please 'enlighten' us?
Oh, and 125mph is fast? Don't try your luck in our highways...when I do 200km/h some blokes pass by as if I were parked.

as much as i like to be crazy- i went 120mph once and did NOT feel very comfortable- the desire to NEVER stop was scary strong---- will not do it again-

  7. i cannot believe that you are capable of 125. then again, you did once drag race me in a station wagon and win.

  8. Ha, I'd like to see all you speedsters tackle the drivers here! Ha!

[I drive slow and cautious, these bus drivers bring out the Coward in me].

  9. the governor is a little chip/device thing in a commercial car that prevents excessive speeding. it can also be confused with the title of the leader for a U.S. state, which for Illinois is Rod Blagojevich.

just be careful in Indiana. i had been wondering why everyone was going so damn slow, and i got my answer in the form of a nearly $400 ticket (the fee for a year's probation just so it wouldn't go on my record), and he caught me when i was only going 85.

oh, how i miss that station wagon! so nondescript, i smoked many a foe off the line in that baby and always flew under the radar on the highway.

  10. I am always careful driving in foreign countries. Usually I only speed here. No just because of the fines, mostly because here I have my own car or service cars I know and am used to.
