I hate when they make movies of books I love. They always ruin them. Although usually I'm thinking of "The Three Musketeers" or "Pride and Prejudice". Still, any book that is butchered deserves to be mourned.
This is why I don't read books. That way, I don't get disappointed by movie versions of them. In this case, I did read Curious George books, so I AM disappointed right there with you.
what's worse is that the man w/ the yellow hat talks, and HAS A LOVE INTEREST! sorry, but will ferrell is so wrong for that guy, and drew barrymore has NO business being in that movie. why can't they leave that man and his monkey alone?
wow, that's so strange because will ferrell and drew barrymore were tapped to do a movie adaptation of my favorite book, A Confederacy of Dunces.
it definitely sucks, but i think that wes anderson could pull it off.
it would be interesting to see quentin tarantino direct curious george. i could just see him calling one of the characters, "the man with the yellow hat" and a long narrative scene with christopher walken explaining to george the dangers of curiosity.
That is disappointing.
ReplyDeleteBut not at all surprising...
