When you're up when everyone else is asleep and you're home when they're all at work, it's a real quest to find answers to burning questions.

out of touch
last night i dropped my phone. on concrete steps. i got to see what it looks like on the inside. it was a sad day because my phone is one of my only connections to other human beings.
i feel like i've been excommunicated from society.
I just lost, really lost my phone on Tuesday. I feel like I have been completey out of all loops!! Crazy how dependent we are huh!!! It was finally found on Saturday. Whew.. finally connected back to civilized world. How did we ever get by before??
I’m pretty sure if my phone ever broke, I’d have it replaced within the hour, or at the earliest possible moment (assuming the accident occurred late in the evening). I have enough trouble when just the battery dies. I used to have two batteries; a fully charged one always waiting in the wings should the other run out. I went thought some serious withdraws when I lost an extra battery (and I still have nightmares about it) so I can’t even speculate the horrors that my body would endure should the entire phone be rendered useless.
tragic. that has never happened to me thank god, but I live in fear that one day I'll just knock my phone out of loft bed (when I bring it up there) and it'll sail for a few seconds before meeting a spetacular end. its a crap phone now, scratched and banged up like crazy, but I am dependent on it just as crazily.
hope you get it replaced a.s.a.p.
stay strong. *I did while trying to comment as I wanted to after omar blatantly caught us all out as being cell addicts.*
it happened to me, and i hated it
ReplyDeleteThat's so tragic! At least you still have internet, that some sort of connection. How far did it fall?
ReplyDeleteMy condolences! Hope it's fixed or you've gotten a new one.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the phoneless world of Omar.
ReplyDeleteConcrete is so unfairly hard!
ReplyDeleteRecently I finally bought a new cellphone only to have it slip through my fingers on its second day of existence,
ReplyDeleteHit the stairs
I stood shocked while my siblings gathered all the little pieces and put it back together

ReplyDeleteSad. Very sad. I hope you recover soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that at least that sort of friend is easily replaceable. Just takes money. Ah, true love.
The worst part would be replacing the address book. Hope you have a SIM card!
