"I just can't understand how you sleep so much."
"Mom, I hardly think six hours of sleep is too much."
"I know, but I get to see you for two minutes and then suddenly you're snoring on the couch. And I wake up earlier than you do!"
"Whatever, I'm tired!"
"There might be something wrong with you. Have you been taking vitamins?"
"Not really."
"Maybe I'll pick some up for you at Wal-Mart."
"WAL-MART?! Don't you know that the only reason they can keep prices that low is by advising their employees to go on government assistance and forcing people in the Third World to work for like 0.002 cents an hour? I can't believe you can still go there."
"Cadiz, face the truth: people are not going to stop shopping there just because you watched some movie."
"I think it's worth the extra I have to pay to be able to sleep at night."
"So that's your secret: Don't shop at Wal-Mart, and you'll fall asleep in a matter of seconds."
you get six hours of sleep? wow i feel like a slacker. i dont get out of bed until ive had my full eight hours.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you shop, then? I mean, say, in case you've got a big gun-related emergency?
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling. I almost called in sick this morning so I could get some extra zzzz's. Maybe I should take vitamins, too.
ReplyDeleteMy relationship with sleep is a confused one. I was getting 5 or 6 hours while on the climbing trip and waking up at 6 am feeling GREAT... now I'm getting up at 8 and feeling utterly drained.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Wal-Mart is evil.
I have to get my eight hours in every night or I'm a bliddering idiot. Six hours? Wow!
ReplyDeleteI used to go with 6 hours a night, but then I stopped working and had all the time I needed for sleeping and doing all the things I wanted to do. Work just gets in the way.
ReplyDeletemy mom only sleeps four hours a night, if that. i think she's more amazed at how quickly i wilt after i've eaten dinner and sat down on the couch.
ReplyDeleteWalmart is the devil. I'm with you on that.
ReplyDeleteI would die on 6 hours of sleep. You mom would think I am a sloth!
I was once a 5-6 hour sleeper, now I usually require 6-7. It's not often that I actually GET that much, but it's what I need to feel rested.
