Here are six random things about me when it comes to staying home. Here are six other random things about me, which are a little more random.
1. I prefer not to leave the house more than once a day.
2. When I'm home, I like to be in pajamas no matter what time it is.
3. When I'm home by myself, I often forget to eat. When other people are around, I'm constantly snacking and asking if they're hungry, too.
4. I am creeped out when taking a shower if I'm the only one in the house.
5. If you want to be sure I will get absolutely nothing accomplished, leave me home alone where there are one or more of the following: a television, a couch, a bed and/or the Internet.
6. An alarm is not as effective without another human being around to make sure I haven't turned it off and fallen back asleep.
I tag: Madelyn, Mike, Supacoo, Momma, the Casual Perfectionist, weebug, Eclectic Bride. No obligations.
Your six random things are very similar to my everyday habits when I'm at home. Maybe because we had "house clothes" and "school clothes" and the ever fancy "church clothes" growing up....
ReplyDeleteAnyways, I posted my 6.
Thanks for the exercise in procrastination. :)
Dude, I'm with you on the shower thing! One time Travis came home early and walked in on me in the shower... and our ears are STILL ringing from the scream that resonated.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tag! Check my site tomorrow, and you'll see my version of the meme. :)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I would like to say how honored I am that I was your first pick for this. It warms my heart to know you think I am probably the greatest blogger of all time. I know those weren't your exact words, but message received missy.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have completed my post. It was hard.
Those all sound pretty normal to me. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you ever go into the bathroom randomly when you are home alone to check that there isn't a serial killer hiding in the shower? I've been known to do that.
Pajama time should be all the time in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the lack of commenting. I've been using Google Reader as too much of a crutch. Hopefully me *ahem* blogging again, might fix this whole commenting thing.

I loooooove having the house to myself. Especially when showering! But yeah, I have to leave home on days when I actually need to get work done. Too many distractions.
ReplyDeleteI'll try and do one of these too. The challenge for me is thinking of six things...
I'm sorry, but I cannot accept #6. Once you get over the shock of realizing that I had to approve all of these, have a cup of tea and read my explanation.
ReplyDeleteReady? Ok, the rules clearly state that these need to be non-important. #6 is clearly very important. If you can't be trusted to wake up to an alarm when you're alone, how can we, the readers, be sure you'll be anywhere on time?
I'm also sensing that you don't like to be home alone?
I'm going to have to agree with Jon on this one. Not being able to wake up with an alarm clock alone is a pretty serious thing. I mean, what if this "H" character has to go out of town, and than you have a new job, but you're late every day for a week because you just can't wake up. The next thing you know you're getting fired all because of something as simple as sleep.
ReplyDeleteMy advice to H is this. Next time you are alone, turn every single clock forward 25 minutes. Then, steal her phone and change the time on that.
I myself like to set my clock 10 minutes fast and even though I did it myself I often forget that I did it.
That's funny about the food thing. I'm the same way. When I work from home I forget to eat. When I'm at work I can't stop eating!!
ReplyDelete#1: That's still one more time than I prefer to leave the house, ever. Gorram life and its infinite demands, crushing my hermit dreams.
ReplyDeleteWhat. I don't understand OpenID. Blogger complacentified (a word) me.
