Last year, I signed up for NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) started by the mastermind behind fussy.org. Basically, it's a commitment to post every day for the entire month of November. And from what I understand, there were some 2,000 participants and some lovely prizes. I fulfilled my obilgation, but it was rough going on some days to come up with anything to say every single day. Shocking, I know. But Jam did it, too. And so did Jon. And that immensely helped me keep going.
This year, they've created an entire social network. I signed up at the end of September and was the 198th person to join. As of this morning, there were exactly 1000 people registered and promising 30 days of nonstop blogging madness. And in the time it's taken me to write this, the number is up to 1007.
The sheer number of participants this early in the game seems to indicate that this thing has gone pretty Big Time. I've found several very cool blogs, and can already feel a little performance anxiety. So I've started to hunt around for some good topics to keep in my pocket for November, and stumbled upon this little idea. I'm toying with the idea of doing all thirty days about people I know.
Regardless, if there are things that you've been dying to know or questions you'd like me to address or topics in general that you'd like to see covered here, feel free to send me an email, carrier pigeon or telepathic message with your suggestions and recommendations. I appreciate your help and love to hear from you, as always.

i'd like to know the following:
1. what's your favorite color, and why?
2. do you miss the dungeon? even just a little?
3. what was the last thing you purchased at the grocery store?
4. if you could go anywhere in the world, to visit or live, money not being an issue, where would you want to go, and why?
take your time.
How about stream of consciousness, anything that comes to mind, no editing...yikes :-D
Damn girl that takes commitment! I'd like to know more about your time in Europe and what you did.
I'm not prepared to try NaBloPoMo - too hard. But I might try NaNoWriMo again. And maybe even succeed.
That 40/365 idea is really cool. I'd love to see yours.
I signed up as #208. I was a bit of a dark horse to finish last year, but I think this year will be 10 times harder. You'd think having done it before, you'd be mentally prepared for it, but mental preparation has never been my strong point. Should I take bets this year?
I'm #1052! I'm going to get a t-shirt made with that on it.
Jon, the wagering actually started on December 1st. Last year, I thought you'd make it through November 7th or 8th. This year, I'm waffling a bit. Now that I know you CAN post for 30 straight days, I have to entertain the idea that you COULD do it again.
Cadiz, on the other hand, I put up my retirement fund on you making it through the month.
Thanks for reminding me about NaBloPoMo. I'm going to sign up, too. Did it last year, barely.
Sending my questions via telepathic wave. Rest assured I expect answers.
;-)
I really like the new fangled social network aspect, and I'm adding friends left, right and center. "But" - remember the part about committing to leave comments, to encourage NaBloPoMo participants? Say I limit myself to like, twenty friends (probably already too late for that); that's twenty posts a day. Time to read each post and leave a genuine comment - say, five minutes each. That's roughly an hour and a half. I'll need about an hour each day to compose and spew my own post, plus at least a half hour to keep up with non-NaBloPoMo blog feiends.
Three hours and counting.
Don't get me wrong, I see it as a fantastic way to spend the time, "but"...
Hmm.
Maybe this would be a good time to take a blog break, and just spend the month visiting and commenting.
Hahahahaha! For a couple seconds there I actually thought about not blogging for a month. Hahahahaha!
Er.
I'm doing it for the second year in a row - signed up as #552.
Be sure to feed my carrier pigeon when she arrives. :)
I actually discovered you last year through the NaBloPoMo Randomizer that was set up and have been reading ever since! This year, I decided to join in the event, but I did so much exploring on other people's blogs last year that I have no idea how I'll find the time to quality blog, too! Craziness, but lots of fun!
Blogging every day for 30 days? Now THAT would be hard for me to do, but I know you can do it and well :)
what a cool endeavor! good luck!
I suppose you could comment each day on someone who has died, based on the obits in the paper. But I guess that really wouldn't really answer the question that is the name of your blog.
I'm looking forward to November. I think that I have enough beer related madness, and impending knee surgery dread to BS my way through at least 25 days of the month. ;-)
i'm with becky on number 4. but i'll put a different twist on it- if you could transpose yourself anywhere in the world (where you've been or not) where would it be? and i wand a whole description of everything- where are you sitting, what are you eating, who are you with? is it sunny? how does the air smell? etc etc- just a little snap shot of where you are. (want to be) i'm not lookingfor any heavy internal soul searching- just an uplifting breasy visit to somewhere new (as a reader)! :)
