hurts so good

The great thing about one of your best friends studying to be a yoga instructor is that in her classes you get individual attention, can ask any stupid question you want, and you don't have to feel self-conscious about the fact that your legs have not been de-fuzzed in more than a month.

I had a great first session with Kaiya at her in-home studio--something about teetering around in the tree pose in a sun room surrounded by real trees is very very zen. And our little yogi-in-training is off to a fabulous start: I left there feeling refreshed, energized and content, and I woke up this morning with the best kind of sore muscles an out-of-shape cadiz could ask for.

I'm glad I don't have to worry about de-fuzzing my legs.

I wish I had a personal trainer friend. And a mechanic friend. And possibly also a pediatrician friend.

One of my best friends is a massage therapist. Although there's something kind of weird about having your friend that you've known for 20 years rub you down, it has come in very handy a few times! I also get to ask her all of the questions I have, like has she ever been farted on? (She has).

why defuzz if it's too cold for skirts/shorts/leg baring? granted, you have a boyfriend, but if non-defuzzed legs are a deal breaker, then that's the poopiest thing ever.

yoga sounds fun and calming, but it seems that too much coordination is involved for clutzes like myself.

And again, I am inspired to take up yoga. I wonder if I'll ever be inspired enough to do something about it.
