but i still stay up late

the last couple of days i've been working an earlier shift. i cannot begin to explain how functioning just an hour or two closer to everyone else's schedule has made me smile 4.5 times more than usual. it's amazing.

Yeah! It's like you feel part of the day world! Welcome!

just imagine how much you'll smile when you actually have the same schedule as everyone! you'll go into a hysterical shock... i think you should have some medics monitor you for the first stages of re-integration

I'm so happy for you. Normal hours make a huge quality of life difference.

Unless your previous number of smiles per day was zero, that's great!

reintegration... that's funny. seriously, i hope it lasts for a while. it would suck to go back to your old hours after a teaser like this.

How are you feeling? :)

Hope however long it lasts gets you fully charged. Enjoy!

On the evils of way-too-regular blogging - a couple days ago I learned of some kind of daily December challenge. This one seemed smaller, though; all the dysfunctionality without any of those unnecessary things like fanfare and prizes.

Also - "thanks" - seriously - for all your fine NaBloPoMo-driven posts (and encouragement).

re-integration: it's like reverse culture shock or something. but it's not even close to really happening, so i don't want to get my hopes up.

funny you should ask, jam. after a whole week of feeling better my nose is starting to run again and i'm still coughing. but overall, i'm well. incidentally, tomorrow they're asking me to work a split shift in two departments because there is too few people to do the work. so i will start two hours early and probably stay late.

but hey, maybe when i'm back to the crazy hours i'll feel better again.

i heard about the december thing and flirted with the idea. it was hard just to come up with thirty things to say for november! thanks to you, too, for helping me along through it. congrats!
