i always tell H that southern california is boring because weather is always the same. i tell him that to really feel alive i need snow-- and not just on some mountaintops in the distance. i have said many a time, "if it doesn't fall on the driveway, it doesn't count."
well today, even after spending an hour and a half shoveling almost a foot of the stuff off the driveway only to look back and see that the area where i started had another inch on it from all the blowing around, i still stand by what i said.
however, it would be nice if the feeling returned to my fingers and toes sometime soon.

You know, it’s funny. A lot of people that now live in SoCal are from somewhere else. And you pretty much never hear them complain about not having any snow. They go back for the holidays, get their fill in the week they spend there, then they are happy to be back, snow free and sunny. You really can’t knock it until you try it :)
That same storm that hit Chi-Town is just now reaching us. They're saying up to 25 inches by tomorrow night. Time to fire up the ol' snowblower...
We finally had a ton of snow here this winter. I loved every minute of it despite every inconvenience and annoyance. It was great.
It might rain tonight. Or possibly tomorrow. And Saturday morning it's supposed to drop into the 30s...
I hate Florida.
boring!??? you call PERFECT weather boring??? yeah, i'll take perfect weather every day over the FREEZING/COLD/RAIN etc ETC
..but that's just me :)
Where I live we have 4 seasons, so the snow/cold/ice is always part of winter. It's still not my favorite thing, though.
That officially sounds like winter. Snow can sometimes be a huge bother. I'm looking forward to spring!
