this ain't iocane powder, buttercup

i think i've developed an immunity.
to my deodorant.
again.

it's pretty well established that i'm a freak. but i wanted to know just how much of a freak i am.

every 6 months or so, i have to change brands of deodorant. i become convinced it's not working anymore, and i drive myself batty with paranoia that it has up and quit on me. but then i switch brands and all is well in the underarm universe. being sure is a highly underrated comfort.

i think it's time to switch again, but that dove scent was really starting to grow on me. what a shame.

this only happens to me, right?

Actually, I believe I once heard that it is possible for the body to develop immunity to deodorant. I’ve been through a couple different brands myself. Of course, I’m clinically insane, so I could be making that up. I think you can switch back after awhile though.

yep you guys are total nutzzos!! :)
I've been using Nevea deodorant (for the past 10 years!! i buy it in cartons everytime i go to europe) -- i did hear about such effects for a champoo... but once again i've been using pantene for the past decade and i remember getting angry when they slightly modified their line. yep you guys are crazzies!!!!!!

I'm pretty sure I need to switch brands after a period of time. It's the most uncomfortable feeling...

INCONCEIVABLE! hee hee. (gotta love Princess Bride) Nah, but for real, I totally have done that. Had to switch up brands. Maybe it's like shampoo, ya need to have a little variety to get the most results?
