"Mmm, this kichidi is delicious, Mom."
"It's just a simple dish. And I made it even blander than usual so you could eat it today."
"I know, but for some reason, anything you make tastes so much better than when I make it. And nothing tastes better than your food when I'm not feeling well."
"I felt exactly the same way about your nani's cooking."
"Mommy...do you think you could make some Sheera, too?"
"Of course. Give me fifteen minutes."
"You know, if I ever get pregnant I'm going to make you absolutely miserable with my cravings for your cooking."
"That's fine with me. But what you don't realize is that I'm going to make you miserable by making sure you eat foods that you don't like."
"Ugh. As long as it's not bananas."
"Honeybunch, three to five servings of fruit a day. And bananas are at the top of the list."

Bananas? You don't like bananas?
I don't like bananas either.
Good for you.
I only like bananas if they're green.
i like bananas fried with a drizzle of condensed milk and some guava preserves...
anyway, what?? who is pregnant?
Bananas are good in pretty much every form: fried, fresh, muffins. Just in moderation.
mmm, sheera...
bananas make my mouth itchy. but they are oh so delicious.
also, i love how she becomes "mommy" when you are asking her to go out of her way to make you a delicious treat.
I LOVE bananas. They're so nice when they're fresh, and when they go bad, you can make muffins and breads out of them. What other food can you do that with?
Mothers are good and wicked, ain't they just?
You don't like bananas? Not even the ones that taste like they're *made* with cinnamon and cloves? And how about those two-inch ones that are bite-size?
Who's preggers? Is this a hint? heh.
I'm not a banana fan.
I'm surprised that YOU'RE the one who brought up making her a grandmother. That's pretty brave.
nope. i don't HATE them, but i pretty much prefer everything else. i think it's because my parents love them and always made me eat them as a kid. "good source of potassium." on the few occasions i've tried them, i've liked plantains, though.
oh, and my friend MFM is pregnant, so we had been talking about her. unless you guys know something i don't know...
