A few weeks ago, everyone at work got a bag full of candy for
halloween (team-building stuff that means well but really, no one has
time for). All these weeks I have been so well-behaved and only ate one or two
pieces, even though it was calling to me from the drawer every time I needed a Post-It.
I've been in the office today and it's a ghost town. As usual when I am alone with access to my phone and the Internet, it's been tough to focus. So the siren song of that dang bag of candy kept cooing me to open the drawer. No one would have been the wiser, but I feel guilty, so I must confess: I ate the candy. ALL of it. In practically one sitting.
I wish I could say the sugar rush made me more productive, but sadly it made me just want to go home.

In which my old boss had a dream about trick-or-treating with Jon dressed like Aquabats before Jon moved here (they have similar taste in music).

I think you know how I feel about this. Here's what I do though. Sometimes, when I eat a piece of candy, and I want to keep eating a lot more pieces of candy, I put a piece of minty gum in my mouth. It helps to stop you from a candy binge.
Did you see stars and dots and ** like in the cartoons after all that chocolate? :-D
I think October really took a toll on us. I ate more candy than usual too.
